Dangers of Marijuana

May people think that marijuana is not dangerous at all, and some others say that it is not addictive. I would like to oppose to this idea and would also like to talk about the marijuana’s effects some more. Marijuana is not addictive because of chemicals, like cigarettes are because of nicotine and other chemicals, but it may be addictive in some other way. When people decide to try marihuana, they may feel an elevation of one's being and can feel kind of more confident with himself/herself. In addition, they also may feel relaxed, feelings that can be missed after the influence of this drug is gone. There are people that try it once or twice and are able to leave it aside and move on, and some think that they can do it some more times and stop whenever they like, but they prolong their due date to stop with the same idea of stopping whenever they like, and so on. The extended use of marijuana has similar outcomes of long-term smoking, now that there are some carcinogenic chemicals on it. Aside of marijuana raising the possibilities of getting cancer, this is a drug that opens the gate to the consumption of more dangerous drugs, like some hallucinogens, stimulants, or even narcotics. It is said that the pot smokers have 17 times more the chance of consuming cocaine. Other consequences of long-term consumption are brain injuries, or having hard time breathing. Emotional wise, it may cause depression, isolation and increasing anxiety. Finally, it can also affect on your social life, studies, and work.

Well if you took into account all of the dangers of prescription drugs then those deserved to be outlawed to. Sleeping pills often worsen the problem, depression pills lead to suicide, I mean the list can go on and on. Not to mention your argument against Marijuana didn't really talk about the drug itself but what accompanies it. Staying up late can obviously cause anti social behavior, health problems, and could inadvertently cause you to get in a car crash if you're not careful, yet you don't see anyone in high school going to sleep any earlier than 12, 10 when they're lucky. In my opinion, if you did smoke weed in moderation and with self control, so called "dangerous" side effects wouldn't have much effect, although I do believe they should be taken into consideration. If it's as bad as you say, why would Canada allow it as a medicinal drug? In my opinion, weed is still illegal because corporate America hasn't found a way to get their greedy hands on it, I'm sure if they believed they could control it, they would sell it. Attention defect disorder pills are basically legal forms of speed, and are sold to youths world wide.

It is obvious that all prescription drugs are dangerous and have many side effects, especially when those drugs are used in an abusive manner. You take to many Depressants; you die because your heart rate slows too much. Too many stimulants, accelerates your pulse too much. Narcotics and all of these aforementioned drugs are addictive also. I am never opposing to this, now that I am talking about THE DANGERS OF MARIJUANA as the title says. If I was to talk about sleeping disorders or dangers of the prescription drugs, I would have made another post for those issues. Obviously sleeping disorders can cause anti social behaviors, and depressants can bring lethal consequences, but that is not proving my argument wrong in any kind of way.

States like California, Maine, and Alaska, just to name a few, permit an individual to use marijuana for medical issues as long as they have a prescription of a physician, as well as Canada. I am not opposed to the idea of marijuana being useful, because it can be helpful with many diseases, and It can also be used as a pain killer. That doesn't leave it's side effects aside, many medications cause side effects but are still use. Chemotherapy causes great injuries to the organs, but cures cancer.
Attention defect disorder pills were made for a reason, but that doesn't mean the drug trafficking can be stopped world wide. You may want to restate your opinion.

And for the sleeping disorders, there are existing medications for that also.

I commented what I did because I believed you had made it seem as if there was a good basis on which to put forth the idea of keeping weed illegal. To me it seemed that you should of also added the proven fact that all those other drugs you yourself stated cause the same side effects, so I did not comprehend why you took such a one sided view on a drug that could cause the same problems if you stuck to legal substances all of your life, deemed so by government organizations that supposedly look out for our well being.

Most of your reason's for addiction were also only based on chance or opinion, not actual fact.

"feelings that can be missed after the influence of this drug is gone"

that only depends on the person, it doesn't happen to everyone.

"they prolong their due date to stop"

so if you chose not to prolong it, it'd be okay to smoke it once or twice with out the problem of side effects, is that what you're saying?

"It has not yet been proven that using marijuana leads to using other drugs"

You may want to state your argument more clearly.
